As you can see, the name of this website consists of several words, as it does of several ideas. The idea of this website is to create a platform on which I can show photography, art, music, writing, made either by myself or by others that I simply admire because of their work. It will consist of a photography portfolio and a weblog on which I will talk, amongst others, about aforementioned items, as well as about life in general, things I notice that happen around me that I find worth mentioning.
About me:
Having many people in my family that took photos, I got infected by the virus at a reasonably young age. Due to other creative aspirations like making music and writing, this photography virus got sidetracked for quite a while. After I quit making music, soon the old interest in photography was picked up again, and steadily started taking up a bigger place in my life. Starting with concert photography, some model photography on the side, I soon developed a habit of shooting photos in and of abandoned, decayed buildings. Because to some friends I made over time, my interest started swaying more and more to the artistic side of things, rather than the simple documentation of these places. My work is steadily growing to be a mix between artistic shots of abandoned buildings and the remnants of people that once were there, and conceptual photography.
